Older versions of the MyIDE-II shipping workbook that have been posted will be moved into this thread.

If you experience issues using a newer version, you can download an older version here to roll back.

Version 12-20-2012 of the shipping workbook.

Now includes the pre-release version of the FAT32 loader.

Notes on the FAT32 loader:

[*] Pre-release version PRE001
[*] Supports hot swapping
[*] Joystick and selection using the keyboard arrows should be working
[*] Support for sub-directories should be working, forward and backward navigation
[*] Parsing and detection of broken EXE files
[*] Support for long filenames
[*] Support for directory sorting

Try to keep directory sizes with this version to 50 files or less. Any directory will 51 files or more will not be sorted when loaded unless you hold down shift. Sorting Windows long filenames on the Atari starts taking too long after 50 files or so.

If you have large directories and really want them sorted in alphabetical order, I suggest you use one of the many free utilities that will sort the actual FAT32 directories on the card into the order you want.

There currently isn't any mechanism for setting EXE options, such as 800 OS installation before loading. This stuff may be in future releases.

Quick update to XEX loader version PRE002.

Should load many many more XEX files than the previous version.

Update to FAT32 loader PRE006.

Further optimized for speed, some bug fixes.

@danilop2k2: I believe Sijmen is working on R2 to make it compatible.

Updated FAT32 Loader to PRE007.

New features in PRE007:

Will automatically install a translator (Atari 800 "OSB" OS) for any programs with "[osb]" in the filename.

For this to work, you must have "osb.bin" and "mathpack.bin" in the root directory of your FAT32 partition. These files are the Atari 800 OS rom images.

If you do not wish for these files to show up in the FAT32 browser, you should set their attributes to 'hidden'. The FAT32 browser will still be able to see them and load them when required, but the files with not clutter up your file browsing.

Sijmen has a new R2 rom that may be compatible with the FAT32 loader now, but I have not tried it yet. Please check the 'current versions' thread for that if you are using the ROM version of the MyIDE OS.

Yeah, great job 8)
Almost "wicked" how sleek it works.

Found a "little" bug to solve in the R2-ROM.
When you boot without the MyIDE-II and a normal non-banked cartidge, it won't boot from SIO.
Somehow it passes the MyIDE-II test and without the extra SRAM it cycles for ever.....
Not a big problem, but need to fix.
MAC65 and all other banked cartridges work nicely under the R2-ROM now.

I really like the "not using the power-switch".
SELECT+RESET - P or SHIFT+CONTROL+TAB - P to powerup.
We make a great team
:D

[edit]
With the R2-ROM or F2-BIOS, there should no need be for the OSB -hack

found a weeeeird bug

today i upgraded to 1mb a 130 xe pal -BombJack yep!-
and found fat 32 part of myide 2 cards corrupted ,
either using side or fat 32 loader.

formatted , re-copied, nothing

BUT

if i use the same card on myide 1 on the same computer , it all works

has something to do with r2, r1 makes fat 32 come alive

Sijmen,

What OSB entry points does MyIDE-R2 support that the regular XL/XE OS does not? I can add a detection for some of them so that the OSB soft OS is not installed if those entry points are available.

Hi Steve,

This is a list of patches I updated until some month ago.
There could be some addition done already, need to sit for it and look through the source code.

I also installed a patched vector table at the original 400/800 location to let fort apocalypse and others work.

Later!
(testing XEGS at the moment)
