Is there a way to access a maxflash cartrigde from Basic or machine level as a memory expansion?

The memory in the 1mbit and 8mbit cartridges is nor-flash memory, which can be erased as a whole and re-programmed, but it cannot be used as random access memory like DRAM.

For anything to be used as a standard "Rambo XL" or 130XE style memory expansion, you would need an upgrade that goes inside the computer, since those expansions use address ranges that are not mapped into the cartridge space by the MMU.
