I went to replace a bad power switch that had been replaced once before and had pulled a trace on the motherboard top side.
The pin in question is the innermost pin of the switch that came loose with part of the circuit trace with it. I am having trouble trying to figure where to jumper that pin to on the top side of the board.
All of the schematics I have of the 800XL do not go into any detail on the connections of those three power switch pins.
And to be clear, we are talking about the power switch and NOT the power supply connector port.
So, does anyone have any information on where that innermost pin connected to on the top side of the board?

Also, I am not getting any power light from the power led on that PC now.
It has other problems due to a bad power supply that may have taken out either rom or memory chips too. But as they say, "One step at a time."

Two of the Three pins are actual used.
The top one (nearest to the edge of the board) is ground and the middle one is 5 volt.
There are NO traces on the top-side (the component side), only on the back.

Good luck :-)

[edit]
Its a common problem for the LED to go bad, or, the cable-connection is bad.
Cleaning it with some alcohol solves the cable-issue.
