:(

So what can a brother do with 3.1?

Sounds like I am stuck :( - I invested in an internal setup with a CF card :x

Maybe when I get some fundage to change everything out in the future I can upgrade.

You only need to upgrade the OS. Do you have an EEPROM or a 32-in-1 upgrade from Steve?

Speaking of the 32 in 1 - I have both the MyIDE flash cart and the 32 in 1. Can I use them both together? In other words use the internal MyIDE OS of the 32 in 1 with the hardware of the MyIDE cart (so I could use Spartados with this thing)?

I have the 32n1 OS - Can I upgrade that without sending it back to classics?

I have a Flashcart if for some reason that helps ;)

I thought the MyIDE stuff was wired to a release - ie, I installed an Internal MyIDE 3.1??

Perhaps I shouldn't be answering for Steve, but yes, you can. The MyIDE flashcart is just a regular MyIDE interface with some flash memory added in for fun.

I don't know how Steve wants to deal with this issue. Hopefully he will chime in here.

Not that I am aware of. The MyIDE hardware itself is either wired to have its registers at $D100 or $D500 (cartride space).

Shawn as usual is right. :D Just to add a little on the Warp+ OS issues:

If you use the rom version of the MyIDE OS thats in your 32-in-1, the MyIDE code in the cartridge will leave that in place when you boot, since it will be more compatible than then ram based OS. So in short, yes, you can use the MyIDE OS in rom with the cartridge. :)

As for upgrading the Warp+ OS module, you can, but it requires you remove the flash chip from the module and re-program it inside an 8mbit flash cartridge or other device programmer.

If you dont have either of those, I can send you a replacement flash chip with your new OS choices for just the cost of chip + postage. No need to send back the entire module.

Steve

The MyIDE Image Batcher program is posted in this topic (along with new versions of the other two programs):
