I'm new to the MyIDE+Flash and I'm having loads of fun getting things going :D

Has anyone had experience with Atariwriter 80? I want to load it in an image slot and store data on one of the cartridge drives, but the program will not boot. If I have the AW80 disk in SIO drive 1 when I start the image from the image loader, it boots from SIO. I'm assuming the program is hard coded to boot from SIO disk 1. Is there a work-around for this (assuming that's the problem). Is there a way to boot different partitions "as" drive 1? That way I could put it on a partition instead of in an image slot, but keep the real partition 1 for booting MyDOS only.

TIA

Hello Joe,

This is a typical example of a program that switches back on the
original Atari-OS. This original OS has no IDE-drivers and hence,
won't continue the boot from IDE but tries the SIO instead.

You can try the newer 3.5F OS, that's on the forum too.
This OS is more reset-proof, that could keep the MyIDE-OS alive.
Please read the post for update issues and usage.

Kind regards,
Sijmen.

Yes, that makes sense. I'm using 3.5F.

Thanks,

FYI: I patched the XE-version of AtariWriter Plus (not AW 80, couldn't find it) so that it works fine with the MyIDE soft OS.
