Im going to pick up this item in the next 2 to 4 weeks ( paycheck permitting) I watched your videos to see how to format blank cards using the default workbook. Im building an atari laptop. ( adding in a hard drive to an atari system.) is it possible to use the cart to format the hard drive to get it to work? How would I go about that with the hard drive, is there anything i can do with the cart? I hope you can let me know and point in the right direction . thanks again Jay

Hi Jay,

Perhaps I do not understand the question correctly.
How would you connect a harddrive to a CF-slot?

Formatting a MicroDrive or CF makes no different.

Later,
Sijmen.

This was half of what I was wondering ( which one I should be ordering ). Also do you I need to need any special adapter for hooking up the HD directly to the atari ( Since a hard drive is a 40 pin male Do I need to modify a 40 slot female to make it work or does the Myide + flash all i need.

Go for the MyIDE-][ interface.
This offers much more (like 8k/16k/XEGS cartridge support from BIN-files) for just a few dollars more.
And CF-cards you can easily use on your PC's-cardreader.

Later!
Sijmen.
