Sorry, but MyIDE/MyBIOS versions below 4.9 do not support C: cassette. So you need MyIDE-][ with the 4.9 firmware minimum.
You are in the correct forum? This is for MyIDE+1mb flash or the older versions without flash memory.

Hello Sijmen,
I have 4.9 installed, but I cannot recognize, what type of cassette system is there. I have old TTDOS 1.5 from past (from '80-es) and lots of cassettes from former Czechoslovak ATARI Klub, which are in Turbo format. My cassette device is able to read standard and turbo format, has self rcognition system. Under TTDOS I am able to put files to the RAM disk (I have ATARI 800XL with extra 256kB RAM, like XE, but when I change cartridge, of course I loose all of them from memory. Under MyDOS 4.9 I cannot read any from that files and interestingly any of standard records also. Most of the interesting files in images on the web are mostly are for OS B system, so they fail in my ATARI when I run them. Only a very few files, only from games are running without problems. ... This the situation. If there is somewhere TTDOS 1.5 somewhere with turbo loader maybe it can help.
Thanks, Peter

[I have moved your posts to the correct forum]
You can use the the copy function in MyDOS I think.
C (copy files) C:,D:name.ext
This will copy the first file found from C: (cassette) to Dx: (disk) [Where Dx: of course a valid and working logical partition on your CF-media is]
Not sure afterwards, but only file with valid executable-format can be run and loaded from disk. Best is to use a tiny dos version to prevent memory conflicts on loading. PicoDos is a good alternative for loading games.
You can always zip and send me the files you moved from C: to D: for evaluation.
Grtz, Sijmen.
