If it's really 1MBit, then that's only about 125K. Did I miss something?

AtariMax has two types of flash cards of which the capacity is advertised in Mbit. Thus the Maxflash 1Mbit has a 128 KByte capacity and the Maxflash 8 Mbit has a 1 MByte capacity.

Don't forget we're talking the Atari here. Carts range from 4 to 16 KB, with a few oddball bank selected carts. So you can put several carts on the 1Mbit cart. The 8Mbit cart would be better if you want various disk conversions.

I'd hardly say "a few oddball bank selected carts," I'm not sure there's an XE cart out there with as little as 16K, maybe, most XE carts use bank-selecting, and there are a lot more than "a few." Not sure exactly how many, but it's in the dozens at least!
