Anyone know if it would be possible to put these on an 8mbit cart? These were two of my favorite games when I was a kid back in the mid to late 80's.
Hopefully when I can get a little money saved up I plan on buying the 5 pack 8 mbit carts.

Thanks

Ahh now reading through one of the stickied posts I see the limit on File sizes and ATR files. Wizard's Crown and Eternal Dagger used a ton of disk images / Disks so I see it wouldn't be possible with the current carts. Is there anything coming down the pipe that might make this possible?

Thanks

Rob

They didn't use more than four disk sides, the same as Ultima IV, and Steve did that one...

I was attempting some conversions (U3 and U2) and got pretty far, but I ran into some bugs, and just haven't had the time to sort them out properly. I'd like to try these games, as they were favorites of mine back in the day as well, but that'll have to wait. I'll fix U3 first and finish U2 before I do anything with WC or ED!

I think there weren't more than 4 game disks but don't forget you have to make your on disks as well and use a combination of those. Can't wait to see where it goes. Once I get money saved up, I'm defintely buying a few cartridges and messing around with them. Still need to dig my old Atari computers out of storage. Thanks for the info.

Hi,

I posted up the sources to the Gauntlet conversion I did.
http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.ph ... opic=67762

To get the two disks into 128K I had to use some compression
which was done with the aid of a small Java app that did some
run-length-encoding on the data, might be useful for others?

Saying that, the ports I do tend to be outside of the usual
'copy disks to the image using the MaxFlash tools and then
work on getting that to work'.

Regards,
Mark
