I bought an 1Mb Flash Cartridge and a Programmer. I have performed many tests and I have succesfully writen compilations of exes and 8K rom cartridges images. Also I have dump an 64K XEGS Cartridge (Flight Simulator II), that resulted fully functional in the emulator, but when I try to program this image with "Cartridge/Program/Maxflash 1Mbit Flash Cartridge" option, an error occurs with the message "Operation failed: Not an ATR image or correct size for binary image of this cartridge type". If I try with the "Cartridge\Program\S/XEGS RAMCart (64kB Image)" option, succesfully writes the cartridge, but not load in the computer... ¿There is a way to load an original XE cartridge image in a 1Mb Flash Cart, to use it like an original one? Thanks Regards, Gabriel PD: My english is poor, sorry |

The XEGS bank switching model differs from the MaxFlash model and so a direct dump of one to the other won't work. Porting the game to work from a MaxFlash could prove a little tricky to do as well. It maybe better to try and use the disk images of the same game instead? |

It's true that I can get the port of the cartridges. But I also like to have a blank cartridge, program a ROM and use it. Searching the internet I found this page: http://raster.infos.cz/atari/hw/ramcart/ramcart.htm Is it "Maxflash Cartridge USB Programmer" compatible with this project? Thanks for your help Regards, Gabriel |

No, it is not compatible with Raster's RAMcart. |

The S/XEGS ram cart emulates the XEGS format cartridges and you can program it with the Maxflash programmer. I don't believe it supports Maxflash format or any other bank switched format though. Steve |
