Anyone manage to get the ATR to work on a Maxflash cart? Tried it and it won't boot. Game only needs 64k to load, 128k for samples.

No, not yet.
I read it uses lot's of low ram to unpack.
Most likely that conflicts with the atarimax-loader.
So, you need to avoid that, plus, the atarimax loader ATR support uses the OS-RAM, perhaps another conflict.
Just run the image in Altirra and watch these regions.
