Hi, I have a USB version of the SIO2PC interface and I am running APE for Windows on a Windows 10 laptop. The software loads and recognizes the interface, but when I try to access a disk image from my Atari 800XL, I am getting error 138. When the Atari boots, the center green LED flashes. It also flashes when I attempt to access the disk image. I have tried setting the APE as drive 1, but then the Atari just boots to the Self Test. If I set the APE to drive 2 and use a boot disk in a physical drive, the Atari boots to the DOS screen, but drive 2 is not accessible, giving the above DOS error. Any ideas as to what is causing this? I am running the most current version of the APE software with the 64-bit drivers.

Try making sure the disk drive is turned off when an image is inserted in APE's D1:
