Hello,

I just purchased an SIO2PC USB interface.

I have an Acer Aspire 10" tablet running Windows 10 that recognizes the SIO2PC device and automatically loaded the driver.

I get the normal "3 blink" when plugged in.

But, when I launch the APE software (trial version that came with the interface v3.02) it does nothing.

If prints a message in the output / log window pane that it can't init the RS-232 ports (because the Aspire has none I presume) but no other message.

If does not indicate that it found the device. Sure enough, if I try to boot off a DOS 2.5 ATR image nothing happens.

I have a tower (large bulky non portable thing) also running Windows 10 that works perfectly with the SIO2PC interface using the same v3.02 APE trial software (same installation process / allow Admin execution automatically, etc.)

Wondering what else to try with the Acer tablet or why the APE software does not recognize the SIO2PC device even though windows does.

HELP!
