I just bough on ebay a IDE-to-SATA adaptor for only 1,70 euro or 2.40 USD (!?)

And I'm very curious if this will work on MyIDE...... ;-)

http://cgi.ebay.com/IDE-Serial-SATA-HD- ... 45f8ea00fb

I have a Maxtor 3.5" 120Gb SATA for testing.
Now to wait for the adapter to arrive.

More news later,
Sijmen.

Received the interface today.
It was including cables btw.....

So I hooked up my 120Gb SATA drive and did a quick init.
All works fine :-)
SATA isn't switchable to 8 bit, so QD is supported in Double-DD density.

Then I noticed I have 65535 cyl, 16H, 63S (hmmm, curious..... the max of CHS-addressing).
The cover reeds 240.121.728 sectors (wtf?) CHS supports upto 66.060.288 sectors.
So 33Gb usable for logical partitions, the rest (87 Gb) for images....
Pffff, there aren't that much images anyway.

Anyhow:
RWTEST: 27k write, 29k read (MyDOS in DD).
SDX not tested, waiting for a $D520-banked SDX file.
I'll report this later.

Cheers,
Sijmen.
