Hi!

Finally got my MyIDE internal stable in my XEGS and havn't gotten any other accessories like sio2pc, and I ran outta money for any more equipment (In Between Jobs taking care on my Son while schools out).

Do I really need to use an sio2pc or sio2usb or other boot to update firmware on MyIDE+Flash Internal?

Can I create a ramdrive (within 64k) and then disable MyIDE to execute .xex update?

I suppose I can dig through my junk looking for a MAX232 IC to build an SIO2PC ;) Or wait untill I work again and order more stuff... last hiatus took 2.5 Years, and just got a whole lotta time now to fiddle and tinker

The easy way to update is using sio2pc and ape.
The new eprom-core is build into an exe file using a PC-program from steve.
In theory, but I have never tried, you can load this from IDE-area.
But be careful, one failure and your MyIDE is bricked.
This exe is a low-memory user, so you can't use DOS to load/execute it.

If you can wait a week, I can have a look at this method, but still on holidays.

For internal MyIDE, I would suggest not to use the latest firmware.
It is experimental and part of the MyBIOS is permanently stored on CF/IDE.

Perhaps I'm going to release a internal MyBIOS version later this year.
With all the updates I did on the -F versions.
