Hi, Just a short note. Marius has (had) a U1MB with internal MyIDE connected to $D5xx running on his machine(s). He used the MyBIOS -RE in a U1MB-slot and run that with and without SDX. So yes it can work. I myself have no U1MB, so no way to check, but running MyIDE on D5xx gives no conflicts. Also the MyBIOS will shut-down MyIDE when a cartridge is inserted that has activity when IDE-registers are used. That's what I can say, take care! Sijmen. |

The conflict exists between the U1MB's PBI RAM and the MyIDE hardware registers. This precludes the possibility of writing a PBI driver for either device, but by simply disabling the U1MB PBI feature, U1MB and MyIDE can surely be used together. |

Probably out of date .. Steven tucker states that you cannot run OSS cart thgat way. I wanted to change out atari basic that came with the eprom o n the myide 1 I bought my unit two years ago prior to the SD craze but I was a little bummed that all I got was Atari Basic C I just paid for a cart copy with disk extensions for OSS Basic XE and I would like to be able to have that as my default basic//ROM//cartridge. any clue as to how I could do that. |

Hi RockDoc2010, It isn't completely clear to me what you exactly have, and what you don't have. Do you have MyIDE 2 or MyIDE 1? Do you have Ultimate 1MB? If you can be more specific, I'm sure people are willing to help. |
