I've always liked the internal MyIDE because it keeps the cartridge slot open for useful things like OSS language carts. In addition, the flashable OS is very useful for beta testing. Today I was able easily to fit an Internal MyIDE into a RamRod XL (three-way switched OS board) in an 800XL Plenty of room! Minor problem -- the MyIDE board "takes over" the system, even if it's control wires are disconnected. Bummer -- thought I was going to get Omnimon at the flip of a RamRod XL switch. Is there any way to do this -- perhaps put a switch on pin 1 of the RamRod socket with the MyIDE in it? Perhaps Steve could answer next time he reads the board? (Yes, I could just flash Omnimon in the MyIDE module, but I do like to minimize flashings, and I use Omnimon a lot.)

Hi Larry

Try this: http://www.bitsofthepast.com/?product=4in1-os-adapter

Works with EPROM/EEPROM. I got one the other day, and am waiting to get my computer back (having 256KB memory installed) before installing.
