Hello,

i tried to open the myide cartridge to solder a power supply for the CF-adapter to the board.
Unfortunatly, it was very hard to open the cartridge (glue?) so I used a knife and the result was, that I killed an element  on space designated as "DR1" (See picture).
So my question is, what kind of element is this?
I would like to solder it out an solder in a new one.
Thanks for advice

The diode is a 1N4148 small signal diode.

You should be be able to get a replacement for a few cents at any radio shack store. :D If they dont have 1N4148 listed look for 1N914.

Just install it so the band end of the little glass diode is on the same end as the band silkscreened on the PCB.
