Only the internal MyIDE's have a modified OS on EEPROM.
All cartridges load a RAM based OS into the atari.
Hi Sijmen-
Hmmm... Now I'm confused.
In this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=1031you say the following:
>You have 4.3E as internal BIOS and run a maxflash cartridge.
Oh, ok, I forget.

The 4.3E has higher priority over the 3.5F in the external cartridge.
But that is no issue, since 4.3E and 3.5F are compatible except for 1 thing.
3.5F supports 8 partitions defined by FDISK, were as 4.3E only supports the first 3 (!) entries in FDISK.

When I by chance read that thread, I pulled out a 4.3e eprom and booted my 3.5F cartridge. It boots correctly and says "4.3e" on the boot screen. So is this as I thought -- the MyIDE cart uses the actual eprom or is the boot screen in error and it is actually a RAM OS? Please "unconfuse" me.
Thanks,
Larry
