Hi

I have a small problem with APE under MyIDE.
1. Cant boot from APE
2. Cant read anything (for example copy disk to hard drive MyIDE Image Manager)
I have configured APE and mount image.
Im using SIO2PC with atari810 disk drive emulator and it works fine. So SIO2PC works. Problem is somewhere else. My MyIDE version 4.2I. I using MyDos 4.53.
What I should do. Maybe mount special disk into APE. Dont know.
Thanks for help.

Are you able to boot from drive #1 normally without MyIDE present?

If you have D1: assigned to MyIDE you need to disable IDE and reboot.

After booting, just press:
shift+control+D (to disable IDE)
then
shift+control+TAB (to reboot)

Then you can boot from any SIO-device like APE.

If this not work, your sio2pc-cable is gone bad / disconnected.

To Steve

Yes I can boot from drive #1 only when I use atari810 disk drive emulator. When I use APE there is no answer.

To Mr-atari

It cant be cable. If so I cant boot from any software, but it boots, but not from APE.

Mayby the problem is that APE use other wires in cable than atari810 disk drive emulator.

Sounds like APE isnt compatible with your system for some reason. Drop me an e-mail at classics@atarimax.com and I'll see what I can do to help you debug the problem.

Thanks

Steve
