Hi Sijmen-

When MYIDE does the "rainbow flash" on the screen borders, does it show any difference between reading and writing modes? I presume that the screen flashing doesn't slow MyIDE down? -Larry

Hi Larry,

The colors do not slow IDE down. I just write data read or written to the
IDE-port also to the background-color-register. If you disable this feature,
the routine stays the same, it only jumps over the STA BACKGRND.

After IDE-access, during the next NMI, the Atari restores the color from
the background-shadow-register.

I have made this option, since normal SIO give sounds through the TV-
speaker when I/O is busy, and I needed something for IDE-activity. Later
MyIDE models have also the (optional) activity-LED to check I/O.

That's all.

Cheers,
Sijmen.
