Will the older XE version of MyIde work with a XL computer?
Whats the main differences between the older one and the new flashable one? Other that it's flashable?

Hi,

The XE version is fitted under the CPU and the XL version if fitted under the OS rom. Clearance for keyboard is the main concern. Check the intall pictures for more info...

So, your saying the older one would work but it physcialy doesn't fit in a XL?

yes, the first batch of internal MyIDE made by Ken Jones will not
fit in a XL due to it's hight. The only way to make it fit in a XL is to
NOT use the supplied socket, but solder the interface directly to the
place were you remove the CPU. Then the CPU on top.
