Hi!

I just uploaded the first official release of the highspeed SIO patch to my homepage:

http://www.horus.com/~hias/atari/

If you are using one of the older (development) versions, I'd recommend that you update to the current release.

I rewrote large parts of the code and improved stability and error handling. The current release also fixes the compatibility problems with Turbo DOS.

so long,

Hias

What do you do with this? What does it provide?

Just curious, because I'm not sure what's being "patched" here.

It enables faster SIO transfers for enhanced floppy drives (for example Happy 1050), XF551, SIO2PC, SIO2SD etc.

ATM I'm working on a new version that supports up to 126kbit/sec (of course you also need a device that supports this transfer rates, such as the Atarimax SIO2PC USB interface).

so long,

Hias

Wow! I have no idea why I wasn't using this before. This thing screams now! Thanks!
