I noticed that there is a small, uninsulated jumper on pin 20 of the cart IDE connector. When I apply power to to a Transcend module externally (with a stock Atari XE not powdered), the module appears to backfeed to the Atari.

It also looks like a trace from this pin goes to a now-vacant "C2" position on the pcb.

What purpose does this jumper serve, and can it be "clipped" without causing any other issues?

The wire jumper is for pin 20 power. Cutting it will only remove the 5v+ connection to pin 20 and not effect any other part of the interface.

Thanks, Steve. Thought that was the case, but figured it was best to ask.
