Here's a WIP version that allows you to save your game (Ctrl-s in the dungeon) and restore the game. You can't currently save or load characters and attempting to format a game disk locks your computer (but shouldn't do anything else).

For 1mb maxflash cart.

Let me know your experiences with it, and whether or not char saving is important to anyone.

Hi,
Have you finished making it so it will save and load the characters? Just checking in. We were all wondering..

Actually you were the first person to ask... ;)

And no, I haven't touched it since I uploaded that version. Is saving and loading characters something that is needed?

Great idea. I thought this would work with the 8Mb cart, but I just tried it on my 130XE and when it starts up it just goes directly to the ROM tests. Is there a work-around for this?

I've made maps of many of the levels for this game using an emulator. You can find them all in this rather long thread:

http://atariage.com/forums/topic/183584-temple-of-apshai-trilogy-maps/

The thread also talks about my explorations of the game. I have the first four maps of Temple of Apshai levels 1-4 complete, as well as level 1 of Upper Reaches of Apshai. I mapped levels 2 and 3 of Upper Reaches on paper, but I've never spent the time to "translate" these to actually maps using an emulator.
