Ok, that is weird, I have no clue.....
Can you load and work with MyBIOS?
If you bought a pre-installed card, it should boot-up in MyDOS.
Just for checking if the CF-port is working properly.
But I guess it does, since the FAT-loader tries to boot-up.
Or (if you have) another freshly formatted CF-card with some files on it?
Hmmm, better contact Steven Tucker directly about this issue.
I can load and work with MyBIOS. But I don't really know what I'm doing with that.
Just running the tests from the MyIDE II Hardware diagnostics. Will post update on those soon.
In the meantime I'll look for another Compact Flash.
UPDATE: I aborted the tests because they weren't really telling me anything new, (just that there was no file system).
So I formatted a new Compact Flash card to FAT32 and transferred a copy of the original files that I made when I first got the card. That works. So now I'm copying over the game files that I previously had.
One thing I noticed - the bottom right pin of my PCs Compact Flash reader was bent out of position. So I have to assume something occurred the last time I had it connected and was deleting games that I no longer wanted.
If this new file transfer works, I'll wipe the original Compact Flash card and start again.
I used to love Compact Flash because it felt solid and had a weight to it like the old cartridges but this is the second brand new Compact Flash reader I've had that has started to fall apart very quickly. Now I can see why people prefer SD cards. Even though I find them too small.
SECOND UPDATE: All files transferred (at least all the ones that fit, as the only other Compact Flash card I have is smaller than the 1GB one I bought with the MyIDE II). These seem to be loading. Next step will be wiping the original card and starting again on that.
Basically I think the problem was caused by a bent pin on my Compact Flash card reader.
