By Spring 1996, New Breed Software will release "MUX Window", a windowing
system based on the X Window System.

Using a number of Atari 8-bits (400/800/XL/XE series) connected together
in a Local Area Network with the "Multiplexer" ("MUX" for short) from
Computer Software Services, this system presents a Client/Server scenario
similar to X.

The existing software uses a networkless model (the Window Manager / Server
are INCLUDEd within the Clients) and has proven to be most satisfactory
(albeit quickly running low on free RAM!)

Note: This system is NOT emulating the X Window system.  However, it would
be relatively simple to replace the Window Manager / Server GUI with a program
which intercepts MUX-Window calls, translates them to the X Window protocol,
and sends them to an X Terminal.  It would also be possible (not nearly as
simple, or as useful) to set up a MUX Window WM/Server as an extremely
scaled down X Terminal!  Ah, but to dream. :)
