Pokey version 0.60 has officially been released to the masses!

Pokey is a FREEWARE Atari 800/800XL/5200 emulator for MSDOS systems.
I recommend a Pentium for decent emulation. Pokey has alot of great
features. Here is just a highlight. Check out my web page for more
detailed info.

* Runs on MSDOS Systems (Pentium Peferred)
* 800/800 XL emulation
* 5200 game console emulation
* Run 8K/16K/OSS Super Carts
* 320 X 200 screen (adjustable) or Mode X (320 X 240 or 360 X 240)
* Supports up to two PC joysticks (swapple on the fly or upon loading)
* DLI and VBI supported.
* All antic modes
* Player Missle Graphics with collision detection
* GTIA graphics
* Reads XFD and ATR disk images
* Supports loading disk images on the fly in slots D1-D8 (menu driven)
* Horizontal and vertical fine scrolling
* System Monitor
* FREEWARE!!!!!! If you like it drop me a line, send me a postcard,
heck Ill take money too!

Im working right now on the following

* Sound Support (Soundblaster Compatibles)
* 4 Joystick Support (using printer port joystick interface)
* Faster Emulation (right now it seems like you need a fast pentium
for decent emulation. Ill know more when you guys start testing!)
* Support for converting MSDOS files to Atari disk images on the fly
* Paddle support
* 5200 keyboard support. Since the 5200 doesn't have any console keys
and uses the keys on the joysticks to start I can't currently start my
only 5200 rom image (frogger).
* 5200 Joystick Support. Might be there now but since I only have
a 5200 Frogger cartridge image I can't start....Not sure if it works

Im looking for assistance on the following areas.

* 5200 rom images. A friend gave me his 5200 game console and about 15
cartridges. I don't have a way to transfer them to file so they are
useless right now. Any help here would be appreciated.

*5200 technical information. I have the Analog article on 5200
hardware but hope there is more.

My web page contains more information on Pokey and some links to other
8-bit sites/emulators, along with alot of credit to those who helped
me on the way! You will need to get the rom images from Xformer or
some other source as they are not included in the archive. I do have
a link for this on my page also.

So whats the url for the web paget? Read on! So go out now and grab
your copy of Pokey and drop me an email with some feedback!
