                  (excerpt from the invitation)

The Alternative Party is a party for machines normal parties always ignore.
Have you ever seen anyone using a VAX or a PDP at Assembly, The Party or any
other place on this side of the galaxy? Me neither. The Alternative Party
will be the start of a new era where people do not have to be ashamed about
using a computer nobody else recognizes. It's our turn to fight back for a
new, brighter future!

To put it simply: you can compete in the compos with any machine except
any PC over a 286 or an AGA Amiga (old Amigas are fine). F.ex. Altair,
Amiga500, Atari, Commodore 64, Cray, Eniac, PalmPilot, TI-85 etc. etc.
