Only things I know about this are:

        SOme of the later levels have hidden warp zones, you have to
destroy hangars ot find them.  Use the warp zones, many levels have areas
you can't get to any other way.

        Find as many of the targets as possible, each one over the minimum
gives you lots of bonus adding up to extra lives.

        The code to get to the second solar system is 1328.  You can start
on the second set of planets with full lives.

        The final guy in the first solar system is easiest to kill using
the flame thrower type weapon.

        In most cases flying high and fast will allow you to get the jump
on the enemy.

        When you have multiple shots, use them sparingly, you only get a
limited number.
